Florida State University has a team that has researched an alternative to current solar energy systems. The goal of this team of researchers was to harness solar energy with less time exposure to sunlight using cheaper fabrication than glass, mirrors, and photovoltaic cells. They were also looking for a system that was lighter in weight than the current systems available.
There are many alternatives to current systems available and Sungate Energy Solutions is always interested in what is going to be available in the future of solar energy. Sungate Energy Solutions has spent over three decades helping American families rid themselves of the dependency of fossil fuels for the health of the people and the health of the earth. Renewable energy and research regarding the numerous sources that are being researched and developed today are the answer to a cleaner earth and a worldwide independence from the increased costs of fossil fuels.
The scientists working on a new solar approach to capturing solar energy came up with a device that is still in the developmental stages for practical use but it’s hoped that it can be made useful for everything from heating water to electrical generation. The technology of this inflatable solar collector is based on a compact inflatable design based on the concept of zip-loc bags that hold together the transparent cylinder shaped pressurized polyester membranes. The cylinders are easily replaceable. The energy receivers are filled with water or oil and the basic concept is based on two opposing chambers that are pressurized in such a way to change shape in order to capture light for energy receivers.
Sungate Energy Solutions has proven designs available for installation now for all environments.
